Diwali/Eid Festival Huge Success!
What an AMAZING day! There was ‘colour, kids and culture’, those three elements make for a perfect community story. It all started with our staff wanting to celebrate Diwali and Eid. Their brilliant idea blossomed into quite the event. Our Diwali/Eid Assembly was both educational and fun for everyone. Our gym was transformed with the help of our students and staff. Dhiya, Harsujal and Shahim showed off their public speaking skills as MCs for our afternoon assembly. Dancing …there was definitely dancing. We all enjoyed watching the talents of many of our students as they showed off their dancing skills. We even had our first ever fashion show, Thank you Ms. Singhera. Thank you to all of our parents who helped set up and serve our hot lunch. What a treat to have all classes eat in the gym together. Special Thank you to Ms. Singh and our team of many staff who organized such a great day!
Remembrance Day Assembly
Our Remembrance Day Assembly was outstanding. Asha, Tasvir, Barleen, Simran, Sumanvir, Hannah, Ravneet and Sergio did an excellent job of hosting our assembly. Divisions 5 and 6 reminded us that Canada is a great place to live as they sang, ” This Land is Your Land.” Our Me To We Team recited the famous poem “In Flanders Fields.” Divisions 10 and 17 sang in harmony “May There Always Be Sunshine”. Our Kindergarten children showed off their talents both singing and demonstrating “I’ve Got Peace in My Fingers.” Our assembly concluded with Divisions 8 and 9 singing a beautiful rendition of “What The World Needs Now.” Please go to our Facebook page to watch Divisions 8 and 9 sing. Thank you to all of our students for sitting quietly throughout our Assembly and showing their respect during our 2 Minutes of Silence.
Me To We Food Drive
Thank-you to our Community for your support for our Scare Hunger campaign! Way to go, Me To We Leadership Team, and of course their sponsors Mr. Dann and Ms. Fuller. Our TE Scott family collected a substantial amount of much needed food for our local Food Bank!
