From our Sports Desk …

Badminton ~ Have you seen the Birdie?

TE Scott had 2 Badminton teams this season. Coaches Dunn,  Singhera, Stone,  Taylor and  Rupi Gill, worked with boys and girls in grades 5, 6 and 7. These athletes showed  off  their badminton skills at this week’s Playdays.  Congratulations on a Great Season!

ULTIMATE Frisbee Team –    Is ultimate frisbee a real sport? You bet it is …

Ultimate is a limited-contact team field sport played with a flying disc, usually called the disc or frisbee. Points are scored by passing the disc to a teammate in the opposing end zone.  Our grade 7 team  has worked hard learning the unique skills and techniques of this sport.
Thank you to Coach Dann for giving our athletes this opportunity!

NEXT UP? Track and Field!

All students in grades 3-7 will have  the opportunity to learn and participate in all Track and Field events for 4 days next week.  This will be our kick off to the Track and Field season.  Thank you to Head Coach Mattoo for getting us organized!  Stay tuned to see who qualifies to compete in The Barry Morley Surrey Elementary School’s 42nd Annual Track Meet on  … Tuesday, June 7th at Bear Creek Park.
