So you think you can Country Dance? Absolutely!
Our 2nd Annual TE Scott Country Dance/Meet the Teacher Event was a huge success! Remember the Achy Breaky Heart, “swivel 1, 2, 3, 4, and HOP 1, hop 2, hop 3, hop 4!” Our primary children looked like pros as they taught their parents this dance. I thought the Boot Scootin’ Boogie would be tough to learn but our students and their parents proved that they could master the “stomp – stomp – kick, kick – no problem!” Our Teachers showed off their dancing skills as they sashayed thru the group Virginia Reel! Then everyone joined in and do –si- doed and clapped along as the head couple sashayed up the middle and back! The dance floor was full as we all joined in with the famous “Chicken Dance” (ok so we did this one twice) and the “Macarena”. Thank you to everyone who came out and joined in on this Fun Family Event. It was a great night! Check out our Facebook page for pictures!
From our Sports Desk….
Cross Country is off and running …literally!
Practices began last week with over 30 athletes in grades 3-7 running around the paved trail at TE Scott Park. Coaches Gill, Singh, Jickling and Carlos and many staff volunteers have been helping our team get ready. Cross Country Meets will take place at Bear Creek Park on Tuesdays starting today September 29th.
Our coaches are looking forward to a very successful season!
Good Luck Bulldogs!
